ELM Technologies successfully installed Peripheral Interface Module (PIM) units in 36 snowplows for the City of Philadelphia. These units collect data from the salt spreaders on the plows for transmission through Trimble's CrossCheck to the Telvisant Mobile Resource Platform. There the information is stored for transmission over the Internet to the end user. The information is then integrated to the user's database using the Telvisant SDK.

Trimble contracted ELM Technologies to provide this solution following successful Beta test of the PIM unit for the Region of Niagara snowplows in Canada and at Canadian National Railways - CN Intermodal where the PIM is used to send shock load, weight data and engine alarms from on-board devices on their large container loading yard cranes.

ELM Technologies' PIM unit enhances the applications that can be targeted with Telvisant allowing ELM and Trimble to target broader niche markets throughout North America.
