Inside Sales Representative

Are you an outgoing andenthusiastic person who has a strong interest in software and technology? If so, we're looking for someone to penetrate new accounts by delivering well qualified meetings to our Account Executives through cold calling and prospecting directly to businesses. You will also be responsible for supporting our existing customer base through help desk support and marketing initiatives.
We're looking for a team player who can help research companies, identify key people and set up meetings by quickly and effectively introducing our fleet asset management solutions and the key features that will spark interest.

Ideal candidates must be self-disciplined, understand the concept of communicating business value, and know how to close for the appointment.
                       
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, your primary duties will include developing qualified leads by:

  • Generating, cultivating, and qualifying potential customers that meet criteria set by the sales & marketing
  • Responding to inquiries and developing leads within the company's database, web promotions, direct-mail promotions, email submission, tradeshows, etc.
  • Supporting the Help Desk by providing customer service to existing clients
  • Coordinating and schedule appointments using CRM
  • Must be able to prospect & expand target customer base consisting primarily of large and mid-sized enterprises
  • Conducting research to gather company information and create new leads
  • Working closely with sales team and senior management to drive new revenue streams
  • Providing feedback to the team
  • Updating and maintain the contact database. Generate weekly activity progress reports
  • Attending industry trade shows and company events, as requested

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience in inside sales telesales or telebusiness experience cold calling and prospecting directly to business
  • Recent college grad who wants to learn how to sell will also be considered
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to softly counter objections
  • Have an outgoing, confident personality with a professional attitude and strong communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Must possess computer proficiency - MS Office with emphasis on Excel and Word and internet based research

Education Requirements

A diploma in Sales, Marketing or Business Administration preferred.

Compensation

A base salary and bonus plan will be offered in addition to a comprehansive benefits package.

Account Executive

Elm Technologies is a privately held Canadian company based in Mississauga, Ontario providing GPS wireless solutions for AVL automatic vehicle location tracking for fleet owners in numerous vertical markets. Our clients include Construction, Heavy Equipment, Transportation, Energy, Waste Management, Police Services, EMS, Municipalities, HVAC and Plumbing to mention just a few.

Reporting to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, your primary duties will include developing customer relationships by…

  • Prospecting Fleet owners/clients in the commercial sector promoting our AVL solutions
  • Preparing and delivering presentations to prospective clients with clear value propositions and solution benefits
  • Managing a sales funnel electronically and providing timely updates, in order to meet and/or exceed assigned sales quotas
  • Prospecting new leads (“Hunting”) and opening new doors for ELM within existing or new segments
  • Preparing customer quotations, follow-ups, and closing deals
  • Attending and supporting Trade shows to promote our product and services
  • Travel within Ontario

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Outside Sales experience within the construction, heavy equipment, transportation and/or electronics industry
  • Knowledge &/or background with our product (GPS and AVL Solutions)
  • Computer literacy in MS Office and CRM tools
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Experience in the Sales process and lead generation; preparation of sales quotes, reports, business proposals and procedures
  • Work closely with Engineering, Operations and Sales team to meet targets and customer expectations
  • Closure- able to build relationships with clients to meet their expectations and “close the deal”
